I agree with you in all respects except this one quote: If you look far back into early history, most societies were matriarchal — even cavemen understood the importance of women. It really wasn’t until Christianity stepped in and started taking over all the local cultures and forcing patriarchy did the world see this change. Granted, it has been ages, but some small tribes scattered across the globe have managed to keep more matriarchal structures. Viking men were expected to give all of their spoils to the women to divide and manage and women held an equal place in their society when it came to decision making and even fighting in battles. People just sort of forgot that we used to be equal, and in many places, considered sacred.
