I'm curious what really changed your mind, because I have seen countless cases proving otherwise, from writers being picked up on Wattpad, to people who subscribe to Patreon accounts based on pure fandom. Moreover, Medium IS a subscription based platform, which pays authors, so why would you discourage writers from writing on the platform that you are so clearly making money from?
